Rootshell Security Announces New Orange Cyberdefense Adoption of Prism Platform
London, 23rd Sept – The increasing cyberthreat landscape is pushing more and more companies toward heightened security awareness. Ransomware, phishing, and web application attacks are just a few of the growing list of criminal activities that face businesses around the world today.
Rootshell Security, one of the world’s leading security-as-a-service providers, has recently announced a partnership with Orange Cyberdefense for the use of its Prism Platform. The suite of tools is designed to test and monitor systems for vulnerabilities at speed and at scale. The Prism Platform is a vendor agnostic security dashboard that consolidates results from third-party pen-testing, to provide rapid cyber threat management.
Orange Cyberdefense is part of Orange Business Services, a $7.8 billion global operation which manages network-native digital services in two hundred countries and territories, and over 35,000 customers. The company operates seventeen Security Operation Centres (SOCs) worldwide to monitor and respond to incidents.
James Hinton, Head of Pentesting at Orange Cyberdefense, explains the partnership. “The ability to add dynamic flowcharts and videos to the platform allows us to clearly demonstrate how issues have been identified, making our customers’ vulnerability remediation processes far easier to understand and address. Implementing the solution has revolutionized the way we deliver reporting to customers.”
A recent 2022 report from US consultants ThoughtLab highlighted the fact that material security breaches in organizations increased by a whopping 20.5% from 2020 to 2021, with almost a third of interviewed CEOs admitting that their companies are unprepared for the rapidly changing threat landscape.
The problem is especially acute for large scale customers, whose operations may span different countries and time zones, and who therefore have built a siloed approach to cyber security. Many of the most successful cybersecurity attacks occur during down periods or using time-zone blackouts to mask the activity until it’s too late.
The report went on to say that over the next two years, security executives expect attacks from ransomware using social engineering to increase as ‘nation-states and cybercriminals become more prolific.’ This is compounded by the fact that a full 44% of the 1,200 executives polled said that their growing use of partners and suppliers exposed them to significant security risks.
Rootshell Security also offers red team attack simulations, scanning tools and automated remediation management as part of a comprehensive set of products and services for enterprise-scale customers. Instead of threat teams having to use old style spreadsheets and PDF documents to manage their cyber threat response, they can deploy the sophisticated Prism Platform to quickly provide a digital threat and vulnerability snapshot to aid in rapid response.
The Platform is designed to align with the Gartner(R) Vulnerability Management Cycle, which ensures a structured and consistent approach to adopting vulnerability management processes. By using the platform’s contextualized exploit detection alongside advanced email threat alert notifications, companies can monitor and respond in a fraction of the time they would normally spend using conventional methods.
